Ian Briggs May 18 2024 at 2:54PM on page 1 Suggestion As you are preserving outdoor open spaces, please ensure that irrigated grass is only used where it has a functional purpose, e.g. sports fields, parks, etc. Park strips, areas around parking lots, and similar places with grass should be replaced with plants and ground cover that use much less water. I love the spaces at the Red Butte Garden where they showcase these types of plants, and it just needs to be implemented elsewhere. 0 replies
Lorie Hutchison May 16 2024 at 7:47AM on page 2 Suggestion Please do not go higher into the foothills to expand campus or parking. The foothills are valuable space for recreation and is a big draw for local community as well as students. 0 replies
Bonnie May 15 2024 at 10:40PM on page 1 Are adamantly opposed to giving any portion of Sunnyside Park to the U for a baseball field. That park is for the benefit of taxpayers and should be open to community residents, not annexed into athletics at the U. There are already too few open sports fields for neighborhood residents.0 replies
Jamesina Simpson May 15 2024 at 9:50PM on page 1 Suggestion I love the idea of the open space path (?) along the creek from Sunnyside to the foothills! I hope we can realize that and that it will include an underpass to safely and more pleasantly get across Foothill.0 replies
Jamesina Simpson May 15 2024 at 9:47PM on page 2 Suggestion To reduce cars and add access, please add an enjoyable bike path along, but separate, from Guardsman Way. Then also an underpass (like those on the CU Boulder campus) to get across Foothill / 500 S so that everyone living south of campus can get on campus on a bike or by foot more easily. Foothill / 500 S is very unpleasant to cross.0 replies
Jamesina Simpson May 15 2024 at 9:41PM on page 1 Suggestion I would love to see less grass and more native landscapes and plants that don't or hardly need to be watered! Also, please make more of the campus more enjoyable to walk. If there was an overpass or underpass or something (like CU Boulder) that we could use to get from the residential area south of campus (Yalecrest) to campus, that would help reduce cars on campus. Foothill is too treacherous and unpleasant to cross on a bike or foot.0 replies
Lauren T Beck May 15 2024 at 7:38PM on page 1 A trax line here would be so useful in reducing traffic in research park. 0 replies
Lauren T Beck May 15 2024 at 7:35PM on page 1 Suggestion We enjoy this open space nearly daily. Please continue to keep it open and undeveloped. 0 replies
